As Business Development Senior manager, I build relationships with business owners and management teams, investing time in learning about their business objectives and aspirations and, at the right time, making introductions to colleagues who can offer the right support and advice.

Having been born, bred, and educated in Glasgow, I headed north to Aberdeen to study for a Bachelor of Music.  After graduating, I worked in the Music Industry in London for a few years before using my transferable skills to join Clifford Chance, where I started my journey in Professional Services.  In 1997 I moved to Sheffield and worked for The Big Four until joining Shorts in 2021. I’m proud to now consider myself an adopted Sheffield-er and pleased that my music degree has stood me in good stead, not just as an amateur singer, but also in my career. It provided me with exceptional listening and communication skills; skills which have proved to be the backbone for building trusted relationships which endure for the long term.

And away from work, when I’m not singing, you’ll find me walking and enjoying the great outdoors, practising yoga, enjoying concerts, theatre shows, art galleries, and spending time with family & friends, especially over good food and wine.
