I joined Shorts directly from university and progressed through the firm before being promoted to Audit and Accounts partner in 2008.
I advise a broad range of our clients across our Corporate, Genus, and Owner-Manged Business teams and I have a passion for the development and creation of new products in the online marketplace. I ensure that Shorts continue to provide a service of the highest standard and my goal is for our clients to have the ability to make better decisions because of Shorts’ input.
My natural disposition towards new technology has enabled me to be instrumental in developing the firm’s cloud accounting strategy and offering for clients. I am particularly proud of our achievement in being the region’s first Xero Platinum Partner, our multiple Xero Awards successes and our success as advisory firm of the year in the Yorkshire Accountancy Awards.
As People Partner, I am responsible for shaping and delivering the firm’s people strategy, ensuring we create an environment where individuals can thrive, develop and build long-term careers, all whilst taking advantage of market-leading work-life balance. I take great pride in helping our people grow and in ensuring that Shorts continues to be a place where individuals can do their best work.
I also serve as Finance Partner for Shorts, and I particularly enjoy using financial insight and modern planning tools to help safeguard Shorts’ independence and to ensure we continue to invest confidently in our people, services and future direction.
In 2025 I celebrated the milestone anniversary of my time at Shorts, and you can read more in our blog here.
