I joined Shorts in 2016 shortly after qualifying, having worked in the profession for 8 years. Throughout my training, my focus was always on my clients and this was one of the many reasons I wanted to work for Shorts – they are known for excellent client service. I began my journey at Shorts as a Senior in the Corporate team, was promoted to Manager in 2018, Senior Manager in 2021 and in 2023 was promoted to the position of Audit and Accounts Director.

I am a member of the ICAEW and hold a Diploma in Charity Accounting. My portfolio is varied and includes many of the firm’s large audit clients and charity clients.

I oversee the compliance services delivered and ensure that they are given timely, sound advice in all aspects of their business and personal finances which means that I also work very closely with many of the specialists in other teams within Shorts. I keep in regular contact with my clients during the year to ensure that they are on top of deadlines, etc. but also to allow them to use me as a regular sounding board for their ideas throughout the year.

Another aspect of my role involves reviewing internal processes, suggesting and implementing new ideas to ensure the team is working as efficiently as possible allowing them to consistently provide an excellent level of service to our clients.
