Shorts have been with us since 1969 when the business was founded by my stepfather, Ray Harper. Throughout this period, they have been a valued member of our wider management team, offering well thought through strategic advice, as well as helping us with accounting and taxation matters.

Andy Irvine is the partner that looks after our business and I am continually impressed by the enthusiasm and interest that he shows in our business and its future plans. As we have grown our needs for support and advice have changed and Shorts have grown with us. Once Andy and his team had helped me define clearly our objectives, Shorts’ Corporate Finance team (led by Andy Ryder) then produced a robust set of forecasts and a detailed business plan; introduced me to appropriate funders and used their expert knowledge of the funding market to present our proposal in the best possible light. Ultimately this resulted in the business securing banking facilities for the expansion at very competitive rates, as well as agreeing significant savings on our existing working capital facilities.
