At Shorts, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical practice. As artificial intelligence (AI) technologies evolve, we are proactively adapting our policies and procedures to ensure a secure and respectful working environment for our team, clients, and visitors.
We ask that you please take a moment to review our current stance on AI use at Shorts:
With the increasing affordability and availability of wearable AI (e.g., smart necklaces, sunglasses, watches, and other devices capable of audio/video recording), we have implemented a strict policy to protect privacy and confidentiality:
Wearable AI devices are not permitted in our offices, during meetings, or on work-related phone calls—regardless of whether the device is powered on or off.
If you own such a device, we ask that you please ensure it is not worn or brought into any Shorts office or meeting environment.
AI-generated passport and photo ID images are becoming increasingly sophisticated, with techniques designed to mimic wear and tear or add watermarks to evade fraud detection.
Physical verification remains the most reliable method of confirming identity. Where possible, we encourage our staff to inspect ID documents in person.
For remote onboarding, we use trusted ID verification platforms to validate documents securely.
If you have any concerns or queries regarding our client onboarding process, please speak with your Shorts representative.
We are currently trialling an AI tool that can join Microsoft Teams meetings to generate summary notes.
Participants will be notified via the meeting invite that AI software may be present.
Any notes or recordings generated by this tool will be used exclusively for internal purposes.
Further updates will be provided to this page once the trial concludes and next steps are agreed.
We use AI tools internally to support research and enhance the quality of our services. However:
We appreciate your cooperation as we implement these changes and your assistance with ensuring confidentiality is respected at Shorts.
